These are live instructor-led classes that follow a set schedule. The sessions will occur online, enabling participants to join from their homes. We will use the GoToMeeting platform, which is similar to Zoom. Practical Lab exercises will be carried out in person.
Hybrid
This training will be conducted simultaneously online and in person. The online sessions will use the GoToMeeting platform, similar to Zoom. Practical Labs will be held in person.

Smog Inspector

"Attaining Smog Inspector certification in California entails completing the Inspector Level 1 and Inspector Level 2 classes and successfully passing the state examination. Prior experience is not a prerequisite for certification."

Smog Test & Repair

Test & Repair

There are four ways to get a test repair license. 1. I have ASE A6, A8, and L1 certifications and have taken inspector level 2 training. 2. Possess an associate degree in automotive plus have 1-year experience and take inspector level 2 training. 3. Possess a 720-hour certificate from an accredited school plus have 1-year experience and take inspector level 2 training. 4. Take the BAR Specified Diagnostic Repair training plus 2 years of experience and the Inspector level 2 training.

Vehicle Safety Inspection

Vehicle Safety Inspection

"The California vehicle safety inspection process mandates applicants to provide proof of current ASE A4, A5, and A6 certifications for prequalification. Subsequently, applicants are required to pass an examination administered by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to obtain certification as a vehicle safety inspector."

BAR Update Training

BAR Update Training

"Every two years, both the EI (Repair Technician) and the EO (Smog Inspector) licenses necessitate updating. EO renewal mandates a four-hour online update directly from BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair). For EI renewal, a 16-hour BAR update class from a BAR Certified school is mandatory. Additionally, every five years, EI renewal requires either the renewal of ASE A6, A8, and L1 certifications or completion of BAR Specified Diagnostic Repair Training."
