Inspector Renewal Requirements and Update Training Process
All Smog Check Inspectors (EO) are required to complete a free 4-hour BAR Inspector Update Course available through the BAR website. Upon completion, inspectors must submit a license renewal application, including proof of training completion and the required $20 renewal fee, to the BAR Licensing Division to maintain an active inspector license.
